Food for thought (but you can make comments)
According to psychoanalysis, we see ourselves through others, as if they were holding up a mirror. Thus, students perceive themselves through their teachers.
What mirrors can a language teacher hold up to her/his students?

This would be something to think about for all eternity!
But, let's remember a little bit our favourite teacher in the whole wide world. What features made us elect that person the best in their position?
I'm pretty sure we can start with that.
I'd have to say that my favourite teacher was the one that opened my eyes to all the things I was going through. Teachers are not only the ones that have to guide us through the mysteries of the language (if you bear in mind English), but they are the ones that help us realize there's something more to be concerned about.
In my humble opinion, Marcia's food for thought should be not only discussed with all our "book" knowledge and also with our class experience.
Hard question. It's still food for thought.
